Bei BesserAlsNeu unterstützen wir die Menschen im Kiez (und darüber hinaus) bei einem nachhaltigen Umgang mit ihren digitalen Endgeräten unter Einsatz freier Software. Wir helfen bei der Einrichtung und Benutzung von Linux-Betriebssystemen auf Laptops oder Android Custom-ROMs auf Smartphones und Tablets, damit die Geräte möglichst lange genutzt werden können bevor sie auf dem Elektromüll landen. Außerdem sammeln wir alte Geräte, um diese wieder fit zu machen und dann kostenfrei auszugeben, z.B. an Bedürftige, kulturelle oder soziale Projekte im Kiez.

Jeden 3 Mittwoch im Monat ab 18 Uhr (20 Uhr Annahmeschluss) findet eine offene Sprechstunde statt. BesserAlsNeu ist ein Projekt von Resi - dem Ressourcenladen in Alt-Treptow in der Bouchéstraße 79 B.

At BesserAlsNeu, we support people in the neighborhood and beyond to use their digital devices sustainably with the help of free software.

We provide support in setting up and using Linux operating systems on laptops or Android custom ROMs on smartphones and tablets so that the devices can be used for as long as possible before ending up as electronic waste. We also collect any old devices, upcycle them and then give them out free of charge, for example to those in need or to cultural or social projects in the neighborhood.

An open consultation hour takes place every third Wednesday of the month from 6 p.m. (no acceptance after 8 p.m). BesserAlsNeu is a project by Resi - the resource shop in Alt-Treptow at Bouchéstraße 79 B.
